Bulletin Board/Art Room Help Help for 2-4 hours per month with hallway displays and art class preparation. Assistance may be needed to set up art display during Celebrate Learning Festival. Juanita Kostecki
Celebrate Learning/ Art and Science Fair April 26, 2002. Science Fair Kick off February 4,2002 Work with school staff to plan science/art/learning event, prepare science booklet and participants certificates; arrange for outside presenters during Science Week; schedule volunteers; supervise set up and clean up.
Classroom Helpers Parent Volunteer Organizer. Coordinate volunteers needed and postngs in the newsletter. Advise teachers and directors of volunteers. Supply chairpersons with volunteer lists.
Cultural Arts Ongoing throughout the year. Liaison with school office toselect and schedule arts performers; arrange payment through PRT/enrichment fund.
Entertainment Books Liaison with company representatives; arrange bookkeeping and order forms for orientation day.
Family Fun Night November 16,2001. Arrange all aspects of event. Schedule volunteers, supervise set-up and clean up. Chairpersons: The Past Parent Round Table Executive Board!
First Day Orientation April to the first day of school. Organize attendance schedules and child care for first day orientation.
General Mills Box Tops Ongoing. Liaison with company representatives; arrange clipping, sorting and mailing, supervise volunteers. Lori McNally

Hearing/Vision/Pictures About five days throughout the year. Liaison with school staff; coordinate and supervise volunteers who will help guide classes through the screening and picture sessions. Pattie Rodenkirch
Newsletter-Core Knowledge Courier Take Courier master to the copy center, and aid in destribution to teachers, staff, students, administration and mailings. Linda Veneman
Pick 'N Save We Care Program This costs families nothing to participate, but will raise funds for CKCS through corporate rebate. Parents who shop at Pick 'N Save for groceries may add the CKCS number to their Advantage Plus card. The CKCS number is 128315.
Playground Improvement Add/upgrade playground area to enable a more positive playground experience.
Registration K-5 First day of school and April kindergarten. Organize and collate registration materials. Diane Larsen
Room Parent Coordinator Liaison with school staff to identify and recruit room parent volunteers; prepare information folders for each room parent.
Room Parent (2 per classroom) The room parents will be responsible to work with the teacher to coordinate special activities and classroom volunteers. In grads K-2, the room parent is responsible to find someone to summarize the short classroom news article for the Courier each month. Grades 3-8 room parents coordinate students who write newsletter articles. The room parent also coordinates the classroom parties.
